Marketing Executive/Assistant

Introduction / Overview

At KR Group, we’re on a mission to re-energise the construction industry and create a more sustainable future. As our business continues to grow, we’re looking for a Marketing Executive / Assistant to help shape how we communicate, promote, and develop our brand.

This is a flexible opportunity (part-time or full-time available) based at our Newburgh, Aberdeenshire HQ, ideal for someone who wants to take ownership of marketing activity across a dynamic, fast-paced business — while also supporting wider business operations where needed.

We’re keeping things open on purpose — we’re interested in finding the right person with the right mix of skills, creativity, and drive.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll coordinate and lead on marketing activity across KR Group, helping to strengthen our brand, promote our services, and support business growth. From content creation to campaigns, events to communications, you’ll play a key role in how we present ourselves internally and externally.

Alongside marketing, you’ll also provide general business support where required — making this a varied and hands-on role with real scope to shape your position.

Your day-to-day responsibilities
  • Plan, create, and manage content across digital platforms (website, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
  • Support the development and delivery of marketing campaigns and strategies
  • Design and produce marketing materials such as brochures, case studies, and presentations
  • Update and maintain the company website with news, projects, and vacancies
  • Assist with email campaigns, newsletters, and company communications
  • Help organise and promote events, trade shows, careers fairs, and networking opportunities
  • Capture and create visual content (photos/video) for use across platforms
  • Liaise with external agencies (PR, design, media) where required
  • Monitor and report on marketing performance and engagement
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis
  • Maintain brand consistency across all channels and materials
  • Support business development activities, including CRM updates and customer communications
  • Help gather feedback and contribute to improving overall customer satisfaction and experience
  • Provide general administrative and business support where needed
What’s in it for you
  • A competitive salary, dependent on experience and skillset
  • A flexible role (part-time or full-time) that can be shaped around your strengths
  • The opportunity to take ownership of marketing across a growing business
  • Exposure to a wide range of projects, teams, and initiatives
  • The chance to develop your skills across marketing, communications, and business operations
  • A supportive, forward-thinking team that values ideas, initiative, and continuous improvement
  • The opportunity to work with a friendly, supportive team and access to a range of team perks
Who can apply

We’re looking for someone who is proactive, creative, and ready to get involved.

Essential:

  • Interest in the construction industry
  • Experience—or an awareness—of B2B marketing
  • Experience in marketing, communications, or content creation (or a strong willingness to learn)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to support across the business

Desirable:

  • Experience with social media platforms and content creation tools (e.g. Canva, CapCut, SocialPilot, etc.)
  • Familiarity with website CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress) and email marketing tools like MailChimp.
  • Understanding of marketing analytics, SEO, or campaign reporting
  • Experience with CRM systems or business development support

Above all, you’ll be someone who is adaptable, motivated, and keen to grow with the business.
