Our client needed two custom triangular vented louvres to replace old, deteriorating ventilation grilles at a school in Orkney. Given the project’s tight schedule, we worked efficiently to ensure a quick turnaround and on-time completion.

We fabricated the louvres using durable 2mm aluminium, equipping them with fixed blades for optimal airflow. To enhance protection, we welded insect mesh to the rear, preventing pests from entering the building while maintaining proper ventilation.

Since access to the installation site was limited, we designed each vented louvre with flashings and a removable flange. This feature provided the client with multiple installation options, allowing flexibility once they gained access to the existing structure.

For a sleek and durable finish, we powder-coated the vented louvres in Slate Grey (RAL 7015), ensuring they blended seamlessly with the building’s exterior while offering long-lasting weather resistance. After completing the coating process, we returned the units to our fabrication workshop, where our team securely welded the bird mesh in place.

Once everything was ready, we carefully transported the louvres to the local ferry port for shipment to Orkney. Thanks to our streamlined process, the client received the order on time and successfully installed the louvres within their strict project timeline.
