Project Overview

As part of the recommissioning and refurbishment works of Bucksburn Swimming Pool in Aberdeen, KR Group delivered structural steelwork and feature cladding elements, which involved integrating new structural steelwork with the existing structure.

Scope of Work

• Cutting back existing beams to accommodate the new steelwork.
• Structural steel fabrication and erection of the new frame.
• Installation of the external walls.
• Installation of Swisspearl Nobilis feature cladding to the entrance area.
• Supply and installation of louvres and flashings.

Results

The project brought together several specialist elements under one KR Group package, from the steelwork and erecting of the new frame, to the wall cladding and finishing details. We coordinated the interfaces between each element, ensuring the new structure, cladding, drainage, louvres and flashings worked together as intended.
