In 2022, KR Group completed the installation of steel and aluminium cassette cladding as part of the renovation of Northfield Swimming Pool & Leisure Centre in Aberdeen.

During this project, we worked on behalf of our client CHAP Construction, who awarded us the Steel and Cladding packages. As part of this project, we installed recessed fixed aluminium cassettes on the outside of the building.

Our cladding has recently been recognised as among the best roofing, cladding and insulation examples in the UK. Alongside this, earlier this year, we were named as finalists in the UK Façade Awards for 2022.

Aluminium cassette cladding is extremely durable and unlike other metals, will not rust or corrode. Even when exposed to the weather or over long periods of time, aluminium beats the test of time.

Founded by RCI Magazine, the Façade Awards aims to raise awareness of the critical role façades play in modern architecture. They also aim to reward excellence in façade design and promote the importance of collaboration between product manufacturers and contractors.

KR Group were delighted to be awarded the contract for the steel and cladding packages for Northfield Swimming Pool and Leisure Centre. The end result is an intriguing and eye-catching exterior that is modern and sleek which was created using an abstract layout for the cladding panels which ultimately, helped us reach the client brief.
