KR Group recently sponsored a local Pennant team at Auchmill Golf Club, which is a community, nonprofit club. It was set-up to offer affordable golf to anyone, including those that wouldn’t otherwise have access to sport. 

Pennant Team Captain and fellow construction professional, Gary Mennie, expressed the need for new team tops, to unite them, and boost performance. KR Group provided the players with Adidas mid-layer tops, complete with the Auchmill badge.

Gary said “Auchmill Golf Course was previously run by Aberdeen City Council, who decided to close the course years ago during cuts. However, the club decided to put a rescue package in to manage the course, and keep it open for the community. We have a few volunteers who keep things tidy, the grass cut and the course in a manageable condition. Auchmill also employs a full time Greenkeeper to supervise the course. The aim has always been to have an affordable golf course for people to play on, and for the club house to be used by the community.”

He continues “Every year we find things are a bit tight. This is why I first got in touch with KR Group about helping the club. KR Group kindly sponsored pennant team tops for our golfers – it is much appreciated by the players of the team. Thank you to KR Group – the tops have been a nice boost for the team.”
