KR Group recently won a Gold NFRC (National Federation of Roofing Contractors) Health, Safety and Environment in Roofing Award.

The NFRC Health, Safety and Environment in Roofing Awards aim to promote a positive attitude to health, safety and the environment, to reduce accidents and hazards, which in turn helps the industry, clients, government bodies and the public sector.

The awards have three levels of achievement: Gold, Silver and Bronze. When assessing applications, the judging panel requires contractors to adhere to current health and safety legislation. Higher awards are given to contractors who practice safety standards that go beyond what is considered standard. We are delighted to have been awarded Gold in such an important area of our work!

“KR Cladding won a Gold Award in our Health, Safety and Environment in Roofing Awards, where the highest awards go to contractors such as KR Group who go beyond what is considered standard good practice.” says Joanne Lear, Executive Assistant to Technical and Training.

She continues, “The benefit of being an NFRC member is quite clearly seen in the comparison of the latest HSE accident statistics. On average, 4.1% skilled construction and building trade workers injure themselves at work each year. The same figure for NFRC members is only 0.26%”.
