Project Overview
Our client required bespoke fixed-blade louvre systems to support the ventilation requirements of their building project, while maintaining protection from the elements and delivering a clean architectural finish. A louvre is a fixed architectural feature consisting of angled horizontal or vertical blades mounted within a frame. Louvres can contribute to lower energy consumption by promoting ventilation and reducing reliance on mechanical cooling systems.
Project Specifications
- 12No 2mm aluminium louvre, 3990mm W x 490mm H x 150mm D
- 50mm fixing flanges to the sides and bottom
- PPC (Polyester Powder Coated)
- Mesh to rear
Solutions
Our team designed and fabricated the custom aluminium fixed blade louvres to the client’s dimensional and operational requirements.
The units were manufactured in two sections for practical transportation and installation while maintaining the required overall dimensions once assembled on site. The robust 2mm aluminium construction provides durability and corrosion resistance, making the louvres well suited to the environmental conditions.
Following fabrication, the completed units were transported from Aberdeen to the Highlands for installation.
