As part of works at The Glendronach Distillery, KR Group’s sheet metal division manufactured 20No bespoke aluminium downpipe adapter collars, designed to provide a seamless transition between their circular and square rainwater drainage systems.

Solutions

Our fabrication team produced each adapter collar from aluminium, selected for its corrosion resistance and suitability for external drainage applications.

Our process involved precision calculations, preparation and accurate alignment and welding of the 150mm round to 100mm × 100mm square profile; followed by the preparation of all components for powder coating in Anthracite RAL7016, providing enhanced durability, weather resistance and tying in with existing rainwater goods.

The project successfully combined our in-house fabrication and quality finishing to support the site’s drainage infrastructure.
