What You’ll Be Doing

As a Quantity Surveying Graduate Apprentice, you’ll play a key role in the commercial success of our projects:

  • Assisting with cost planning and budgeting for construction projects
  • Supporting the preparation of tenders and contract documentation
  • Measuring and valuing work on-site
  • Monitoring project costs and reporting on financial performance
  • Working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients
  • Learning how to manage contracts and procurement processes
  • Supporting risk management and value engineering activities

You’ll gain hands-on experience across live steel and cladding construction projects while developing the technical and commercial knowledge required of a professional Quantity Surveyor.

Your day-to-day responsibilities

  • Assisting with the preparation of cost estimates and bills of quantities
  • Helping to track project expenditure against budgets
  • Supporting subcontractor procurement and payment processes
  • Attending site visits and project meetings
  • Preparing financial reports and progress updates
  • Ensuring commercial procedures and standards are maintained
  • Developing an understanding of construction contracts and legal frameworks

You’ll gradually take on more responsibility as your skills and confidence grow.

  • Relevant Highers/A-Levels (including Maths) or equivalent qualifications suitable for university entry
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail

A full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle is ideal.
