What You’ll Be Doing
As a Quantity Surveying Graduate Apprentice, you’ll play a key role in the commercial success of our projects:
- Assisting with cost planning and budgeting for construction projects
- Supporting the preparation of tenders and contract documentation
- Measuring and valuing work on-site
- Monitoring project costs and reporting on financial performance
- Working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients
- Learning how to manage contracts and procurement processes
- Supporting risk management and value engineering activities
You’ll gain hands-on experience across live steel and cladding construction projects while developing the technical and commercial knowledge required of a professional Quantity Surveyor.
Your day-to-day responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation of cost estimates and bills of quantities
- Helping to track project expenditure against budgets
- Supporting subcontractor procurement and payment processes
- Attending site visits and project meetings
- Preparing financial reports and progress updates
- Ensuring commercial procedures and standards are maintained
- Developing an understanding of construction contracts and legal frameworks
You’ll gradually take on more responsibility as your skills and confidence grow.

- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Relevant Highers/A-Levels (including Maths) or equivalent qualifications suitable for university entry
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
A full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle is ideal.
