Start your career in construction safety
Looking for a hands-on job where you can learn real skills, work outdoors, and build a long-term career? KR Group is growing our specialist safety netting division, and we’re looking for a motivated candidate to join us as a Trainee Safety Net Installer.
This is a full-time, permanent position and we’re looking for the successful applicant to start in early 2026.
In this active, practical role, you’ll be working on live construction sites, helping to install FASET (Fall Arrest Safety Equipment Training)-accredited safety net systems that protect people working at height. You’ll be part of a close-knit, safety-critical team where reliability and teamwork really matter.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll learn the job from the ground up, supported by experienced installers:
- Installing and dismantling safety nets under supervision
- Working safely at height as part of a small team
- Learning knot work, rigging techniques and equipment care
- Supporting steel and cladding teams on site
- Completing KR Group’s structured 12-month training programme
- Building a portfolio towards FASET accreditation
What you’ll get
We invest in people who want to build a future with us:
- Full training and on-the-job mentoring
- A clear, guaranteed route to recognised qualifications
- Pay increases at each stage of your training
- All PPE, tools and safety equipment provided
- Long-term opportunity to progress to Installer, then Lead Installer
Who this role suits
You don’t need experience — just the right attitude:
- Reliable, willing to learn and not afraid of hard work
- Applicants of any age with a genuine passion for construction and safety
- Physically fit and happy working outdoors in all conditions
- A team player who takes safety seriously and has a head for heights
- A driving license (or working towards one) is essential
