KR Group were contracted to carry out steelwork alterations for refurbishment and fit-out works at an energy client’s Aberdeen city office.

Working with Space Solutions, we were tasked with replacing steel bracing, and installing 6 tons of structural and ancillary steelwork.

The steelwork alterations at Silver Fin offices on Union Street included removing existing steel bracing, and replacing with new. The team also fabricated and installed structural steel and two new internal staircases.

Our team faced some challenges during the project. It was a city centre location with heavy traffic, and there was a limited lay-down area. Additionally, the steel had to be hand-balled in to the building on a live site.

Despite these challenges, our expert team ensured smooth delivery of the work scope in a safe manner. The new space is modern, and light, and the client was happy with the end result.
